Master Chief would grab her leg, twist, pull, then push Samus' entire body off him. The fusion of his strength and reaction time would allow him to do the this ease. Samus would be flung upside down a few meters but land on her feet and Master Chief would be on her right as she landed. The CQC battle would continue from there.
Granted I know that samus could defeat M.C. but she is wanting a broken leg or arm very much at this point. This is a very compromising position to be in, even if you're on top.
And even if he did see her on the battle field, he wouldn't just shoot her, I'd like to think he would think her another spartan. As far as he's concerned it could be Gen-3 Spartan Armor. Even though we know it isn't, he doesn't know that.
I've always hated the "hate" that courses between these franchises fans. Each one hates and spites at one another with no reason, other than that one franchise believes that their character is better than the other and one is jealous of the success of the other. Its sickening and makes me fell horrible to be part of either franchise. As you can tell by my user name that I like halo very much, but I respect the metroid fanbase and games as any other.
Even though the art is well made and I commend you for creating it, or at least collaborating it together, I hate it for exacerbating the very hate that separates the fanbases.

You know what? your probably right, he might even guess that her arm canon is an attempt to mimic Hunter Canons....
huh, funny that.... now I wonder if the Hunter's canon is inspired by This clad in orange Hunter. both have green, charged plasma spewing arm canons!
